YouTube users register original content with YouTube and select guidelines for use the YouTube copyright system. YouTube provides their system for free and users may register a YouTube Audio ID and a YouTube Video ID . The IDs tag your original work and allow YouTube's copyright system to detect copyright infringement.
YouTube provides a "Copyright Verification Tool to help search for material they believe to be infringing" the steps to obtaining that tool start with signing up for a YouTube account and following this application procedure .
YouTube provides a manual takedown process in addition to this automated procedure that may be more appropriate for limited users.
